Rupiah Weakened 13 Points

Jakarta : Kurs rupiah terhadap dolar AS di pasar spot antarbank Jakarta, Kamis pagi turun 13 poin karena pelaku pasar ingin merealisasikan keuntungan, setelah beberapa hari lalu menguat hingga mencapai angka Rp9.100 per dolar.

Aksi lepas rupiah relatif kecil, karena pelaku melihat arus modal asing yang masuk ke pasar domestik makin meningkat, kata Analis Valas PT Bank Himpunan Saudara Tbk, Rully Nova. Nilai tukar rupiah terhadap dolar berada pada posisi Rp9.113-Rp9.123 per dolar dibanding penutupan hari sebelumnya Rp9.100-Rp9.110.

Menurut Rully, rupiah masih berpeluang untuk naik dan koreksi yang terjadi pada sesi ini diperkirakan tidak akan berlanjut. Pelaku pasar agak ragu melepas rupiah, melihat arus dana asing yang masuk terus meningkat, mereka ingin membeli mata uang Indonesia, namun pelaku khawatir apakah Bank Indonesia akan masuk pasar menahan kenaikan lebih lanjut.

Bank Indonesia (BI) juga mempunyai kepentingan terhadap dolar terutama para eksportir, karena produk mereka di pasar ekspor kurang kompetitif, katanya.

Rupiah, kemungkinan akan bisa menembus angka Rp9.000 yang didukung oleh membaiknya kepercayaan investor terhadap pasar domestik. Pelaku asing lebih cenderung melakukan investasi di Asia ketimbang Amerika Serikat yang pertumbuhan ekonominya masih belum pasti begitu pula dengan Eropa.
